Description:
Tasks vary based on the student's skills, need of the unit assignment, and supervising psychologist's job responsibility. Tasks may include completion of psychological assessments, individual or group psychotherapy, treatment planning, program development, consultation, etc. Experiences help to prepare students for pre-doctoral level APA internships. Students have worked in both inpatient and outpatient services for both children and adults. Many students stay for one or more years in order to get experience with a wider range of clients and to be supervised by several psychologists.
