Description:
The intern will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing a statewide, veteran-target marking and communication system designed to create awareness of the opportunities for service-disabled veterans who own or who wish to own their own business. The Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business Act was passed in NYS in May of 2014 and seeks to achieve a statewide goal for participation on state contracts by service-disabled veteran-owned business enterprises of at least six percent. DSDVBD is tasked with the marketing, certification and implementation of the Act. Much of the work for this flexible, on-site internship could potentially be completed from the intern's college or home location.
