Description:
Conduct research and analysis on a variety of topics related to public safety and security, with an emphasis on those related to terrorism and those which impact the first responder community (Fire, Emergency Medical Services, HazMat, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, etc.).
Assist in the recognition of trends, risks, vulnerabilities, and consequences, as relates to both terrorism and other disasters and emergencies.
Support the development and implementation of several outreach initiatives, including Safeguard New York ("See Something, Say Something"), Citizen Preparedness, and first responder information and intelligence sharing.
Projects may also include updating outreach and incident databases, creating surveys, analyzing data, collecting survey responses, and preparing relevant reports.
Work schedule is fairly flexible, generally between 9-5, Monday - Friday. May have the opportunity to support night and weekend outreach activities.
