Proposal Information

Description:

Recreation Therapy interns will be responsible for learning the TR process including assessing patient needs, planning groups and interventions, implementing these plans and evaluating the outcome of interventions. Job duties will include group programming; documentation; attendance at treatment team meetings, morning reports and staff meetings; assisting with recreation activities outside of treatment groups (including swimming, walks, bowling, special events) and learning the process of assessment and treatment planning. Students will be expected to work minimum of 35 hours a week, Monday through Friday, every other Saturday or Sunday and some evenings, excluding holidays, and will have experience on both adult and children's inpatient psychiatric units.
